We had a great holiday away in aberfeldy (perthshire) sat-wed and took a big budget which we came home with about half. We did eat out every lunch-time whilst on holiday. Used this for some christmas shopping as managed to get all of santa's shopping in (great savings on argos on friday) and some good buys on chocolate tins for nursery and bookstart. Need to get my head in gear and think of what to buy everyone else as it will no doubt be fast approaching.
Going to count my £1 tin on tuesday and make a oveprayment to the mortgage + £50 allocated from bank account - hopefully will be over £100.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

Made the final and last overpayment for OCtober today of £120 - so thats a total of £320 for this month. I managed to scrape together £70 from my mortgage tin where I save £1 coins. For the full year, I have managed to put by £160 which I am quite happy with. Will continue with this next year and hopefully I can make a small payment from the tin in December - we will see.
Was reviewing my ISA and found out that if I have over a certain amount, then the rate of interest will increase, so going to transfer an old ISA earning rubbish into my current ISA and get the higher rate of interest.
Have a meeting with Abbey on saturday to open a regular saver to save for xmas next year. I do this at the moment in a normal bank account which pays very little money, so hopefully I can make a bit more money from interest if I open as a regular saver.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

Well its the end of October and I have viewed my mortgage details online.
Aug £245.83 for the month/averages £7.93 per day
Sept £235.61 for the month/average £7.85 per day
Oct £241.43 for the month/average £7.79 per day.
Had a good halloween nights with 15 kids coming to the door and we had friends over for dinner and birthday cake as its hubbie birthday today. DD enjoyed helping give out the made up bags and seeing all the kids dressing up, and she was dressed up too as a witch and then a belly dancer.
Made a batch of chocolate biscuits in the shape of ghosts and bats, which are lovely and means that I do not need to buy any biscuits in the shopping.
Done a bit of christmas shopping and need to crack on with this on wednesday morning, when not working and DD is at nursery. Got a few days off work coming up to finish it off.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

Hiya I made November's overpayment today of £340. This is all I can pay this month.
Was asked at the counter if I wanted the amount reduced or term reduced - I have never been asked this before, so we will see what happens in the future as stated that I wanted the term to be reduced, even though I am trying to reduce the amount so that we can move to a bigger house in the near future.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

The other week when in Nationwide and making the November overpayment was asked for the first year if I wanted to reduce my term, so I said yes. I have been making overpayments for over 3yrs and this is the 1st time asked. Anyway got a letter yesterday stating that they have amended the term by 6mths (Dec 2028) but on the website it states (Aug 2028). Does anyone know if they will continue to do this with each overpayment from now on as hubbie is not sure and we had several words last night about this as he thinks there is something that the BS is gaining out of this.
Does anyone know if they will continue to reduce this until I say that to keep that term date.
Got my compensation money from my car accident so need to do a bit of homework for a home for this.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46
