The inside bit of my pan is ok but the outside of it is really black and I can't get it clean and its also got melted clingfilm on
. I have tried an industrial cleaner which says it gets rid of all sorts including blood protein and carbon deposits but it isn't shifting it. It usualy works well. Please help as OH wants to throw it out  as it doesn't look very good .
Thank you in advance.

mix bicarbonate of soda with a little water into a paste ,coat the pan and leave till morning ....................brings most things off0

Soak it for as long as you can in a v.strong solution of soda Crystals and really hot water.
It should remove a lot of the deposit.
Just remembered, theres a thread somewhere about using amonia to do this sort of job, but it's nasty stuff. l'll see if I can find it.0 -
I use some stuff called Astonish that I get in Wilko, it's not that expensive, and it's not toxic or aggressive like some other cleaners, but it removes all cooking stains with a little elbow grease.0

You could try soaking it in water with biological washing powder for a few hours. It works for the oven trays so should work for that I would think.0
