I made these yesterday and are having some problems with it. I read the recipe wrong and now I don't know what to do with the mix
1/4 cup baileys (but I put a whole cup 229g in:eek:)
1tbsp butter
12oz chocolate pieces
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup cream
melt chocolate, baileys and cream on low heat. Whisk in yolks one at a time...mixture will thicken. Whisk in butter. put in fridge for several hours or overnight until firm. make small balls with a teaspoon roll in powdered sugar or cocoa.
Obviously it wouldn't thicken for me and I tried to roll it in to balls. I just get funny shaped blobs.
Can I use the mixture for anything. I can't eat it the way it is.

Sounds like the perfect icecream topping for someone who likes Bailey's. Or you could fold in some whipped cream and/or custard and freeze to make a chocolate Bailey's ice cream"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
Trying not to waste food!:j

What about some coconut? That should make them a bit firmer.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0

Do you have any cake or plain biscuits? You could crumble them and mix with the runny mixture to make balls, or just spread out in a cake tin and chill. Maybe add some dried fruit and nuts too.0

I would be tempted to try swirling some of it into a cake mmm yummy! The icecream idea sounds fab too!0

I made chocolate truffles yesterday and one of its ingredients were icing sugar, if you added icing sugar until it was firm enough to make into balls, i think you would find that wouldnt spoil the flavour, and it would set in the fridge firm.
let us know how you got on!It's the start of the no takeaway challenge.0
