CCJ's Help

I have a couple few CCJ's and have recently applied for a mortgage, the only lenders who can help me are charging huge interest rates, is their any way I can “clean up” my credit history so I can get lower interest rates?

  • I used to have bad credit but I tried Nationwide Credit Consultants who helped me to clean up my credit score. They had a moneyback guaranttee so I had nothing to lose.

Outfits such as nationwide will not be able to do anything you cant achieve yourself ( legally) and will charge you for the privilege.

You can't 'clean up' your credit score, either the entries with CRA's are correct or not. If not you can dispute them. No need to pay someone else.

ps the link in your sig isn't found ;) :spam: ?

Whilst you have outstanding CCJ’s or defaults it will be exceptional hard to find any form of credit, let alone at a sensible interest rate. Once the debts are settled or satisfied the situation will improve marginally.

Most sub prime lenders will want to see a 15% - 20% deposit and normally in the region of 8% APR on the mortgage.

What sort of deals have you been offered and for what amount ?

  • Helen - try Birmingham Midshires for a mortgage, they are really good with "sub-prime" cases (as they call a case such as yours). We have 2 CCJ's and have a deal from BM at base rate. I call that brilliant under the circumstances. They are a reputable lender, which is important, and look at each case individually and (most important to me) you can apply for a mortgage yourself, you do not need a broker (call me paranoid but I don't trust some of those people). I think they have a web site or you can ring them.

    (No connection, BTW!!).
