Percy's getting some willpower

I need to lose weight  I am a classic yo yo dieter and put on and lose 20 pounds every year. I am now at the heaviest I have been since 1998. I have just noticed that my most comfy pair of work trousers have started to look very worn out where my chubby legs rub together. I was so tempted to run over to Evans and get a new larger pair straight away - a size 22   However, it has dawned on me that perhaps it would be better all round if I just lost some weight, even a few pounds would be a step in the right direction. This would have the knock on effect of reducing my debt as when I analysed my spending diary, lots of it went on food. Mr Sainsbury's recent increase in profits was probably mostly down to me.
So I am quite pleased that I have managed not to run out and buy new clothes. I have loads of clothes at home in all sizes. I will just have to wear skirts to work for a while until I can get into the trousers I have at home that are a size 18.
I am not sure why I have to comfort eat and comfort spend, even if I only suffered from one it wouldn't be so bad!

Good Luck! Winter is the hardest time to start a diet - I find I want all the comforting hot food I can eat.... part of my money saving plan is to lose a bit of weight as well... I'm not big but can't afford to go up a dress size!! Therefore need to get back into all my old clothes.. going to kickstart it on Monday with the Cabbage Soup Diet (yes yes awful diet I know but I can lose 5lbs in a week and it's not too bad to stick to it just for a week!) Good thing is it's quite a cheap diet as well
Hope it all goes to plan... food is in my top 3 weaknesses along with Holiday's and Books!! It's hard but worth it!! :beer:Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270
