i wanna understand Amazon's postage

i want to make a purchase on amazon, 2 hsm duvets and a ben 10 duvet set, it says that you get free delivery on orders over £15 so why am i being charged £10 delivery on a £25 order.. i'm confuddled, its with 2 seperate sellers does that make a difference? even though with one seller its still over £15 or am i supposed to get it from another part of amazon??

please help before i drive myself bonkers lol
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A

Sometimes not Amazon itself selling it so the seller sets his own postage, like Amazon Marketplace.

If you buy from Amazon itself that's when the postage is free over £15. It will say "sold and despatched by Amazon.co.uk".

If it's from another seller it will say "sold and despatched by fred bloggs/A.N.Other/etc".

Can be confusing, you just have to make sure you know who you are buying from.

Amazon Free delivery has been reduced from £15 to £5, so spend over that and get free delivery.
  • If the items qualify for the free delivery it will say in the write up" qualifies for super saver delivery"or words to that effect, if it doesn't say then you have to pay the postage separately
If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................
    Why practice!:T
  • this happened to me, and when i queried it amazon siad that as i bought the items from sellers and not from amazons stock that i would have to pay the postage costs,
if i bought the items marked despatched by amazon i would of got the free delivery

Thanks for putting that right Chrissy, I didn't realise that (I just knew that Marketplalce sellers didn't come under the "free postage if you spend over a certain amount" deal).
