£5 present for sister's partner- help

Hi,
My sister has a new partner and I want to get him something for Xmas but I have no idea what to get! Her partner is male and 19 (I think, but could be 20) years old and he works (i.e. he is not a university student, where I think a 'student cookbook' would suffice). I have never met this chappie, know nothing about him and don't want to spend more than £5-6. So, you can see why I am having trouble!
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could buy him?? And whether any shops have any good offers on 'men's stuff'?
Sorry, I know this is a bit of a vague and odd thread, but I have been searching online for ages and can't find anything. I was hoping some people could offer me some fresh insights....
Thanks!

Homebargains, boyes etc. often have lynx gift sets (yet to meet a chap who doesn't like lynx).
Otherwise its hard to go wrong with a set of nice bottles of christmasy beer (most good supermarkets have a selection of individual bottles I always choose local brewerys).0 -
I was going to suggest 5 lucky dip lottery tickets for the Christmas week draw - or maybe if you had to get other pressies, try Boots 3 for 2 offers in the gift department.
I bought my other half 2 Lynx sets for £5 each and got a third set free, which I will give to my brother - most blokes like deodorant sets (I think))
Have you tried Primark - they do scarves, gloves at these sort of prices.0 -

I can't really buy a Lynx set as its a running joke in my family that the aunts and uncles who can't be bothered to think of good presents for the men and boys all buy Lynx sets!
(No offence meant at all; this has much more to do with my aunts and unlces than Lynx gift sets)!
I was thinking of something from Primark but I don't live near one!!'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. they usually do beer gift sets in tesco and asda where you get a branded glass with the beer and I think I saw some in British Home Stores too.
I know what you mean about Lynx it's a bit like getting socks I suppose! :rotfl:0 -
The New Scientist books are always good for me and the latest one (Do Polar Bears Get Lonely) is reduced to £3.59 on Amazon at the moment. Not see this years but past years have been a fun read.0

beer gift sets or puzzles (mazes, etc;the really hard ones).
I have similar problem with a bloke and so I'm getting him a drink pump, from B&M Bargains which is £6. What man wouldn't like a beer pump??!!0 -
You should be able to get a nice scarf for a fiver.0
