tesco like all supermarkets are telling us to be green and kind to the environment .But really it costs the supermarkets a fortune to supply these bags .I think they are more concerned about cost that the environment ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0

As was I. The Op was aware as they stated the six month delay in their subsequent post. Is there any reason the OP should not include that info?
We are so clever arent we, thats how you got all those liddle piddle stars isnt it:rolleyes: I did not post the expected date as i am not aware of the actual date, all I would know seeing as I dont actually work there, is that signage ususally arrives about 6 months before going 'live' so to speak, it may become policy in a months time maybe a year, thats why I didnt post it, I was just making people aware it was coming:rolleyes: as per usual theres some smart !!!! who comes into a genuinely useful post and makes their own comment so to make themselves seem more intelligent than they obviousy are:rolleyes: I think that some people would be quite happy if the only posts on here are their own as they are so hugely smart no one else could possibly know anything they dont. Honestly I dont know why anyone bothers posting something new because of them:rolleyes: And they just cant miss an opportunity to reply when obviously the matter is closed:rotfl:0 -

Ginger Nuts, I am really sorry this seems to have got you all wound up.That wasnt my intention, I, like you, was trying to supply some information relevant to the thread by giving actual dates when the bag policy was actually changing. I felt it useful to clarify that free bags will still be available if people wanted them. Thats all I was posting about it, it was in no way a personal attack on you. Hope you feel better now after your little rant . I am only taking this opportunity to reply as my previous replies seem to have been misconstrued by yourself so I hope this clarifies things and we can let the matter drop. Peace?

Over and done with, perhaps in future you could consider your replies that may be taken in the wrong way, to me it was extremely petty, I did not say that in the immediate future bags would not be provided free, but in the future they would be withdrawn, the signage indicates that. I have a fairly thick skin and can take a post and reply, but in so many occasions a first time poster can be 'lit' upon for merely giving some information they do not have any obligation to do so provide, just an observation on many posts on here.
Anyway stock up on the freebie bags to fill yer bin under the sink and for walkin the dog, and the tiny holes are no problem for liftin it if you feed your dog correctly, but thats another argument:rotfl:0 -
Back to topic - great news. I still don't know why the UK can't follow the Republic's lead (just this once mind you) and impose a tax on carrier bags.0
