Hi No. 312 checking in for November.
Regular overpayment of £200 just gone to Nationwide which makes ytd total £12,900 since September :T
So with another £200 due to go out in December that will take me £100 over my target for this year.
Can't wait to see the mortgage below 100k, although this could take a while!
Thanks for the motivation guys!0 -
Hi all,
No 118 finally reporting again. Sorry its been a bit of a mental year and the original mortgage is on my own property which has now been rented and the new mortgage is now on my marital home (which is also a fairly new development)
Anyways we have had the house for about a month and have made our first OP only £50 but the house needs a lot of work and it is a start. I am trying to persuade DH that we need to hack away as much as possible but he is worried about renovation costs. I have been comping like mad and have applied to do a focus grup next week which pays £40 so fingers crossed.
I think I will try for a big push till the end of the year, better go count my piggy banks!Debt Free - done

Overpayment made, fifth of the year, well since starting overpaying...
£485
We have made our target but im hoping for one last overpayment for the year of £515 to hit £3000 which is good enough for me considering we stated in June. Oh to think it could be doubled and a bit more if we started from last November on our first mortgage payment... oh well I'm happy!
Good luck all0 -

My November update......

This also means a predicted interest saving of £580.29 since Jan 2009 until my MF date of September 2014. My £250pm overpayment is more than covering the mortgage interest of £237.76
New repayment targets
Predicted outstanding mortgage at September 2014: £48,619 (scheduled to run to November 2020)
To be paid by: Endowment (£33,100) and Investments (£15,519)
Zav I will PM you with the details.
One more overpayment to reach the target......:dance:

Second overpayment made last week of another £50 making £100 so far. No news about the focus group but have sorted out a mortgage piggy and am picking up any stray coins that I or OH have left around the place. I must also nag OH to put his phone on Ebay.
I wish the figures were bigger but the damp treatment for the house is about £12k alone so need most of the money for thatDebt Free - done

£630 for November overpaid today, that takes me to 70% of my target for the year............not exactly where I wanted to be but still a good chunk paid off:DBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0

A second overpayment this month of £225, so my total for November now stands at £725.
I'm hoping to pay another £100 before the end of the month.
My overpayments for the year = £8,000 (plus I have reduced the term a few times to overpay even more).0
