This year's cheapest pumpkin??

Apparently there are massive ones in Aldi for £2, but I saw an ad on Netto's website saying it was 99p there, and in Tesco I've seen them for £1.50 and £4, just labelled differently.

Any other cheap pumpkins around?!

Just been and picked my own at a local farm. Great experience for the kids and got 2 massive ones for £1 each!

The ones I have seen in Sainsburys today were small and cost £1.50 and the one's in Tesco were all rotting.

Is it possible to grow pumpkins using the seeds from one I've bought? Will there be pumpkins the following year?

    Thanks

Not sure if this is completely correct but I was told that seeds from fruit, veg and flowering plants purchased have a type of seed that can't propogated. Therefore it is doubtful that you would be able to grow anything from those seeds. HTH and that it's correct. x
  • Hi

I grow my own pumpkins every year and just save the seeds from the previous crop, dry them off and put in an envelope until march
pop them in a pot of compost, plant out in a bed that has some good manure or compost when the frosts are done, keep watered well and hey presto!!
