Bargain on quality Port in Morrison's

Had to share this festive bargain with you. Looks like a pricing error (don't know if this is my local store in Leeds or not) on Cruz 1997 vintage port. Shelf price says £10.79, rings up at the till for £3.99 - cheaper than Mozzer's own brand! Hope you get some!

Hi, just been to Morrisons at Keighley, the only Cruz port they have on sale is 1989 vintage - priced and scans at £10.49!!
Looks good stuff though.0 -
In St helens morrisons it is advertised at £3.99 and sells for £3.990

Right... this is not a pricing error.
There are actually 2 different products for sale.
An EXPENSIVE bottle of CRUZ at £10.49 and a CHEAP bottle of CRUZ at £3.99
The £10.49 is a Late Bottle Vintage (LBV) from 1989
The £3.99 is LBV from 1997

The 10.49 bottle is actually a vintage one, not LBV (which needs decanting as it has a sediment in the bottom, same as other vintages). The 3.99 one is LBV as you said. Both are very nice, the 3.99 one is an absolute bargain for the money - had the majority of a bottle of it last night and it was extremely pleasant. It is in stock in the Leeds centre branch - now I've tasted it, I'll be going back for a few more bottles soon
Edit - and while the 10.49 bottle may seem expensive, it is half the price of other vintage ports, so a bargain, especially as it is very nice.0 -
