Rump steak in SC?

I've got a piece of rump steak in my fridge that I "liberated" from my mum's! It needs using tomorrow and I'm wondering if I can cook it in SC?

I love it fried but I'm doing weight watchers so that is out! Can i turn it into a casserole?

Also do I need to peel potatoes before I put them in?? I really hate peeling potatoes! They're jacket potato type spuds so is it ok to just scrub them:o ?!

Thanks in advance

I really wouldnt cook rump steak in a slow cooker, if frying is outthen what about grilling and no you do not have to peel the potatoes.

Slow cookers are best used for cheap cuts of meat that benefit from long slow cooking.

    Hi annaangeluk,

I agree with Essex-girl, it would be a waste to use rump steak in the slow cooker. I would either grill or dry fry (no oil in the pan) it.

I rarely peel potatoes when putting them into the slow cooker..life's too short. ;):D
