Hi all, I'm pretty new at posting here .. I've now spent 2 months not being able to pay my credit card monthly payments. As I had a bit of a lifeline with some money from relatives to help me out I decided to offer it between my creditors as a settlement fee. I have now received letters - one from Egg and one from Capital One asking for the following information: payslip, bank statement, benefit information and a completed income/expenditure form before they consider my offer. Has anyone done this before? Is it worth doing or should I just stick with my offer? I have an appointment arranged for November with Citizens Advice to discuss other options to pay off my debts so do you think it would be better to wait until then?
I've never been in debt before and this is all new and pretty frightening for me so it would be great to speak to anyone who has similar experience.
Thanks

Hi luckygreen
You are definitely in the right place and plenty of wise people will be along to help shortly, just bumping to keep it at the top as I'm not really an expert

Thanks Yorkshire Belle and thanks Numpty for the link - I'll post SOA later. I'm trying so hard and now just trying to resign myself to the fact that I'm going to be in debt for a long time now but it's great to be able to speak to people in similar situations and to know that I'm not alone.:T0 -
