BWC's "life is changing" diary

Hello all,

I haven't posted here for a while, i have lurked about a bit. Life has changed so much for me over the past year, I am still in debt to the sum of £5500. I have a new job that I love, the job include a large amount of travelling and most importantly I have met a lovely man who I am going to move in within the not to distant future.:j :j :j

The purpose of this diary is to keep me on the straight and narrow to the life I want. I need to make overpayment on my debts as I pay the minimum amountd and nothing more, with a bit of planning I can make overpayments. My OH and i want a simply life, to be debt free and live frugaly and old style, to grow all our own fruit, veg and flowers, I love flowers, we have the means to do this, a very large allotment, a greenhouse and our back garden, more about this later.

We both love shopping in charity shops and at carboot sale, we are very into recycling and a members of the local freecycle, our views and values are very similar. At the moment we are spending time between two houses, having two lots of bills, paying loads for petrol and have two fridges/freezer/store cupboards. I am only recording my spending, I will start on DH's when we livetogether.I need to start decluttering my house ready for when I put it up for sale, in the pressent climate I feel this may take a while but I am ever positive.

So this month I want to:-

*Spend as little as possible on food. I have started a spend diary as of the 1st Oct.
*Freecycle some items I no longer need, take stuff to charity shop.
*List books on Amazon.
*Prepare allotment for next years planting, I have some potatoes and carrots in the greenhouse, I am hoping these will be ready for Christmas dinner.:D

I have made a good start as I have take lunch into work everyday this week and I have taken two bags to stuff to the charity shop.I am not going to post a SOA as I am happy with what I paying for bills. My problem is that I am lazy when it comes to my other spending however for the next month I am going to post mt progress and make changes so that I can acheive my goal of a frugal, old style, debt free life, please feel free to comment on my journey the more the merrier.

Off to sort out my airing cupboard as I know there is a single duvet in there also single sheets and duvet covers, as we dont have a single bed in either house these can go on to freecycle.

Bye for now.
