Mint won't accept Payplan offer

Help! Things have been going reasonably well and I am learning not to panic quite so much every time the post comes or the phone rings. Today, though, got a letter from Mint saying that they will no longer accept my current payments due to a recent review of my account. Don't understand this since my DMP is barely a month old! The pro rata Payplan payment for was £137 per month and they say they will accept a minimum of £167. They have sent an income/expenditure form for me to fill in urgently. What do I do? The form will only say what the Payplan form said - and Payplan sent that to Mint last month! Do I fill it in and send it off, or do I wait till Monday and phone Payplan. Is this normal procedure for some creditors? Why would they think that my offer would be different when only one month has gone by? Any wise people out there who have had a similar experience please?

Hi,
I had the same with Cahoot, they wanted £140 a month of me(which I dont have)
My DMP offered them £78,
I posted the letter to CCCS and called them also, they said they would 'action' this letter and told me not to worry about it.
Cahoot accepted the £78 offer.
Not heard of them since, monthly payments are going to them.
Try not to worry, and enjoy the weekend
Regards
K.

I wouldn't worry Poppy, I had the same when I was with CCCS, just wait until Monday and phone Payplan and let them deal with Mint for you. Chances are they have just sent you this letter to see if they can initmidate you into paying more than you can afford. As Keith said, enjoy your weekend and don't worry!!Mortgage-free wannabe!0

Payplan carried on paying them and last week I had a very grudging letter saying they would accept my offer even though it was totally unsatisfactory!0

Hi poppy52
Might be hope for me yet i have had two letters from them so far each time the amount they want has reduced. But it is getting closer to the amount i am paying thro payplan.

I had 2 letters refusing before the final one agreeing. What made me annoyed was that there wasn't a huge difference between what they wanted and what I could afford. I think they just like to be difficult.0

In my case although i'm with payplan and they have contacted them, mint have contacted me twice so far always by letter but have not contacted payplan.0
