Phoned Dad this morning and the nurse came at 7pm last night. I guess at the weekends there are less staff. Dad was fine.

Have decided to try and lose some weight and be a bit healthier. To that end I went on the Wii fit For the first time in 699 days! And I had gained 2 lbs. I guess it could have been a lot worse :) Will aim to do at least 30 mins of this 5 times a week.

Breakfast was a slice of toast and lunch was a veg. pasty (not very healthy). Dinner tonight is roast lamb and a glass of wine with banana and ice cream for pudding. I saw Michel Roux on the TV last week and he showed a Shepherd' pie using leftover roast lamb. My spuds are cooked and mashed ready and the leftover lamb will be used to make this for tomorrow's tea.

Have decided to tackle my weight from the health point of view rather than trying to look really skinny (which is never going to happen). I am hoping that I have more success that way. I have programmed the Wii fit that I will lose 2 lbs every 2 weeks - hopefully that is a manageable goal. Now the nights are getting a bit lighter I plan to do some walking in the evenings. There is no excuse I live in a lovely part of the country - Cornwall and am about 10 minutes walk from the coast path.

Packed lunch done for tomorrow. I am having a slice of wholemeal bread, half a low fact ready made prawn cocktail, some rocket and spinach salad - I plan to make an open sandwich and will eat it with a knife and fork. I have also got a small pot of mixed fruit and a chocolate marshmallow teacake :)

So far I have done 15 minutes on the WiiFit DH and DS are going out so we had early dinner - Michel Roux's shepherd's pie was the nicest I have ever tasted. There was a bit left over so DH will take to work tomorrow.

I have the same packed lunch as today.

Tomorrow's tea is salmon with pasta.

Have paid one of the CC's off today - Yay - thank you Dad.
