Hi Horace and Mrs. MoneyPenny thanks so much for your words of support. They are much appreciated.
Unfortunately I didn't win the lottery:mad: So that means you are stuck with me on here for quite a while longer:j
I am having an NSD today. Almost went out for lunch but decided against it as I am doing the NSD challenge and really finding it a struggle. Now I am so grateful I didn't go as I would have spent at least £25 and I don't have that to spare.:T Even though I am motivated and organised I do have moments of weakness but at least I didn't give in this time. Am really determined to do 15 NSDs which is what I am aiming for. As I have never tried this challenge before I don't really want to fall down at the first hurdle.
Did some housework, washing which I was able to hang out to dry as the weather is fantastic today. Sorted out some old cross stitch and knitting projects. Am aiming to knit a scarf so I can wear it tomrrow! Have found an almost finished cross stitch picture, plus an old photo frame which will fit it. Aiming to finish that by mid-week, frame it and get DH to knock a nail in the wall - heck I might even do that myself:D
Have sorted out all my clothes for work this week. I was getting fed up with waking up and spending 10 precious mins in the morning fussing over what I was going to wear. Now I just hang up five outfits in the wardrobe ready to wear for instance a skirt and jumper and scarf on one hanger, dress and cardigan on another etc. I know it sounds a bit silly, but by gum does that save me time in the morning. I am one of those people who get up at the last possible minute, and I have to get DS up too so I really don't have a second to spare.
I make my packed lunch and DS's the night before. Luckily DH sorts himself out. Before last week I was just taking my purse into work with only my visa card on it for emergencies. However, last week I did have a fiver at the start of the week and guess what? It had one by Friday. I have now learnt my lesson - so back to as it was before - NO MONEY TO WORK.
Am aiming for 4 NSDs this week. Am meeting a friend on Thursday for lunch so will have to spend a little bit then.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Don't beat yourself up MrsP.
My planned NSD went out the window today - I picked up yesterday's Express newspaper (didnt bother reading it yesterday) and found some money off vouchers, one offering me 50p off the Express today:j Typical I immediately dived down to the shop.
Now I have 5 vouchers offering me 20p off the Express this week and 25p off the Saturday Express (all thanks to the Saturday Express paper) and you would have laughed at me because whilst perusing the Sunday paper, my beady eyes alighted on another voucher - a free pack of 12 aunt bessies yorkshire puds:j I don't normally buy them but as I have a voucher I shall make an exception.:D
It is such a beautiful day today, I also got a line full of washing dry.0 -
Hi Mrs P
Have you finished your scarf yet? will you be modeling it tomorrow? I have just signed up for 13 NSD's this month. Not going to be easy as I have 2 weeks of half term to get through. Didn't manage a NSD today as I took my mother to Asda and spent £22 on xmas presents. Thought I would get them while I see them. I do end up buying all our xmas presents for us from my parents and my mothin in law. So I end up doing all their shopping! At least the kids and us get things we want although I do end up using all my good ideas for their presents.
I also get all my clothes ready for the week of work ahead. My sandwich is already made for tomorrow. If I am really organised the slow cooker is on before I leave for work but that doesn't happen as often as it should. Take care.2025 Decluttering 13021⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mrs. Money Penny we sound very similar and organised don't we?
I almost finished the scarf, but I wanted it really long (but not like Tom Baker as Dr. Who - now that ages me doesn't it?). I will finish it tonight and will model it tomorrow at work!!
Didn't manage an NSD either today as had a meeting at work and bought coffees. Never mind, as they say "tomorrow's another day"
I have had some good fortune with my items on Ebay now - two are sold and I have made £76. The other two finish tomorrow night and already one has a bid of £20 and another of £8. So that extra money will go straight towards getting some oil. In fact DH will be ordering some tomorrow. I am now wracking my brains for something else to Ebay but I can't at the moment - almost everything I can Ebay I have done so. Am seriously thinking of looking around charity shops and seeing if I can spot a bargain which I can then sell for at least double on Ebay!
Horace - those yorkshire puddings will make a nice addition to a meal and help to bulk it out.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hi MrsP
Glad you have done well with your ebay items.
I did manage a NSD today thankfully so another one to the collection.
We do sound similar and organised. I expect you are busy knitting your scarf and there the similarity ends I'm afraid I don't knit but unfortunately remember Tom Baker as Dr Who all those years ago! Have a good day tomorrow.2025 Decluttering 13021⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well I'm safely home from work (safely in that I can't spend now) and managed an NSD today.
Had a lovely tea tonight which I have called Stromboli Rat. I estimate it cost me £1 and would have served 4. Its a variation on the traditional Stromboli which I also make. I was looking around the old style boards and found a post from someone who had bought a tin of Ratatouille provencal from Tescos or Sainsburys for 39p pence and she said she had had it with rice and how nice and filling it was. The next time I went shopping I bought a tin. I was meaning to have it with the rice but instead used it for my stromboil Rat (now you know why I call it Rat). I baked the bread dough in the bm yesterday and left it to cold rise in the fridge. Tonight I rolled out the dough emptied the tin of ratatouille into a bowl and added a tin of plumb tomatoes which I chopped up (saves 2p per tin buying plumb from the already chopped). Added the mixture in the middle of the dough parcelled it all up and cooked it for about 20 mins and hey presto! It was served with baked beans. It went down a storm with DS and DH. There was even one portion left so it would easily feed 4. DH was tempted by the portion but is trying to lose weight, so we have decided to have the extra portion tomorrow I thought with spicy potato wedges and a fried egg and chop the extra portion into 3. So that's what we will do.
Had a very busy day at work today. Which is good because it means I don't think "what can I eat" every 10 minutes.
Parcelled up my 2nd package which I sold on ebay ready to post tomorrow. Final two items end today and already have bids on them so they will sell. DH bought me some used jiffy bags from work which I will recycle for the packaging.
Bought a book for DH on ebay but they sent the wrong one (its one he already has). When I emailed the seller she replied sorry and would send the right one immediately and that I could keep the one sent in error. That's great because I will be able to Ebay it and even a couple of quid for it means I can put that towards the other bits and pieces I buy for DS for Christmas. Most stuff is coming off Ebay - as indeed it has for the past few years.
Just done packed lunches for tomorrow. For DS pitta bread with tuna mayo, for myself am defrosting a portion of home made carrot, veggie and lentil soup and will have that with a couple of mini pitta breads.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Well folks my planning and organisation has gone to pot today. It started at luchtime with buying two muffins for myself and colleague (she bought the coffees). Then DH had to go out early this evening and all that meal planning went out of the window. DS ended up having the left over stromboli Rat and I ended up popping into the dreaded Tescos and getting one of their "take away" curries. I also bought some oranges and packed lunch stuff for tomorrow and Friday and managed to keep the spend to under a tenner. It could have been so much worse.
Back on track tomorrow though. No nsd tomorrow either as am meeting a friend at lunchtime. However, tomorrow's meal plans are back on track it will be bangers and mash (bangers already defrosting).
DS needs help with maths homework so signing off to help out with that!!Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
A bit more organised food wise today. Had bangers and mash for tea with fried onions - lovely.
Didn't have an NSD as met a friend for lunch - but didn't spend too much.
Am aiming for an NSD tomorrow.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Am feeling really good today as I had an NSD. Almost halfway there with my challenge.Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Didn't manage my nsd today as I bought theatre tickets. Its for Agatha Christie and she is my favourite and I hardly ever go to the theatre. Its a local theatre so not as expensive as London.
Am in the middle of making pumpkin pies. Never made one before, never even tasted one! There was so much filling I was able to make two. I have just posted a quick question on the money old style board asking if anyone knows if I can freeze one of them. Otherwise I will just have to eat two won't I?
Must definitely have an NSD tomorrow - at the rate I'm going I won't be able to make my target.Debt free and Keeping on Track0
