            Hello All,
Things have been going fairly well. Have decided to set up a DD at the end of February into a savings account. That way the money won't be sitting in the current account just asking to be spent
Am really determined to try and save some up to make a dent in the unsecured debt.
MF - glossing has to be the worst - or maybe stripping wallpaper comes a close second?Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Haven't updated for absolutely ages - although I have been reading and posting on other people's diaries.
Am well and truely back on the MSE band wagon again. Am determined to try and make a dent in my unsecured debt.
Have started to gather stuff ready for a boot fair in a few weeks time.
Last couple of weeks got rid of big stuff - a bunk bed and a sofa bed via Freecycle. House is looking much better now.
On the dieting and fitness front - not very good I'm afraid. I am running the Sport Relief mile on Sunday and set myself a challenge of actually running it. I am extremely unfit. I have done hardly any preparation (I lost heart I suppose). I am still doing it on Sunday but will probably walk most of it, but hey at least I am doing something.
Have been really busy at work - in fact I didn't actually realise I could work at the pace I am having to. All are very appreciative of the fact and it has been recognised by a promotion so am very pleased indeed about that. However, am very tired when I get home at night.
Weekends also very busy running DS around everywhere - or so it seems. Off to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D tomorow so I am looking forward to that.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Well I did my mile today - part walking and part running -and I have the medal to prove it too.
DH and I had a serious chat over money. Both back into our MSE ways. Dinner tonight was roast beef (meat won in a raffle)!! There is plently left over for sandwiches for a couple of days.
Sandwiches made for tomorrows lunches. Tomorrow's dinner is pizza (dough made and cold rising in fridge) with some left-over tagine I froze a week or so ago. There is only enough for one portion but more than enough to top a pizza and feed us. I have re-discovered how brilliant left-overs are on top of home made pizza dough.

            Ok here I am again

Have been quite busy lately and have taken my eye off the ball MSE-wise. However, damage not as bad as it could have been.
On the plus side going forward:
2 phones which we can recycle and get around £100 for - will sort that out this week
A quarter of the shed is now full of stuff for a boot fair - will do this one Sunday in May
Still have my student teacher - he is here till middle of June - have already received one payment from the University - 3 more to go. This money to be put on one side and used for holiday spending money.
Paid balance of June half term holiday - one week self catering in Wales. Already have £200 in the savings pot for holiday spending. Our week's holiday In August have to find the balance again £200 to pay and also spending, but am saving for that each month on SOA.
Looked over SOA this morning with DH (he has never really looked before). We have decided to talk it over every couple of weeks and definitely when we are paid - this way it will keep a track of it all.
I'm ashamed to say that looking at the SOA we could certainly save a lot more money than we do. This could then go towards paying off the unsecured debt. This is now what we are aiming to do. Have worked out that most of our money goes on eating out. That will now stop except for special occasions - we both need to lose weight anyway
Feeling much more positive now and up and ready for the challenge.
Work tomorrow - packed lunches made.
Dinner in oven for tonight - an Irish meal called Coddle which I've never made before, basically, potatoes, sausages, bacon onion all cooked in one pot. I've even hand-made (not used my machine) some soda bread to go with it.
DH has been busy in the garden and mowed lawn and cut some bushes back so it all looks much better.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
            Monday
NSD for me today.
Another busy day at work.
Packed lunches done and ready in fridge.
Dinner tonight is meatballs in Thai curry sauce! I have discovered Lidl's meatballs they are lovely and really versatile. Probably are more expensive than buying the mince and making my own, but I have never managed to make meatballs even though I have tried many times.Debt free and Keeping on Track0
