    thursday

Feeling more positive today. Have had breakfast 3 points. Lunch consisting of sandwich, yogurt and WW flapjacks (6.5 points) is in the fridge at work ready.

I'm ready for work today! Will try not to get too stressed out and frustrated!

No money with me so aiming for an NSD.

  • Good luck with the NSD - I have tried every day this week and so far have only managed one - and that's just because my collegue treated me for lunch! - like my school report use to say "must try harder" lol

Well I have managed to stick to the diet today - have enough points left for a WW lemon cheesecake which is defrosting now.

After advice from another poster (thank you Strumpet). I have decided to have one day a week where I don't worry about the diet and eat what I like (hopefully within reason). I am choosing Sunday as my 7th day as I weigh myself that morning and I can then be "good" all week.

I also managed an NSD today.

tomorrow I am aiming to stick to the diet again - hey if I can do it one day then I can do it for two days.

Also aiming for another NSD tomorrow.

I've made the packed lunches ready for tomorrow.

    Friday

Stuck to the diet so far today and have not spent any money.

Hoping to manage an NSD today - I will have to get my skates on if I'm going to meet my target.

So far I've had wheetbix and milk for breakfast (3 points); lunch was WW wrap with WW tuna (2.5); biscuits (1.5); yoghurt (1) and cake (2.5). Dinner tonight is mince with pasta (6) which will leave me with 2.5 enough for a WW pudding or another couple of yoghurts - or I might not even have anything.

Last night painted some of the garden fence.

    Jobs for the weekend:

    Saturday - buy DH trainers
buy some salad and fruit and milk
    buy compost
paint some more of garden fence (weather permitting)
    plant some veggies (weather permitting)

    Sunday - attend local fete

As you can see neither day will be an NSD.

Am aiming to stick on my diet on Saturday and use Sunday as my 7th day.

Just worked out my outgoings for next month and I am going to need an extra £100 (I don't really want to use my child benefit current account if I can help it).

    Ways to make the £100:

just listed 15 items on Ebay (actually relisted some items which didn't sell before)
my expenses for next month come to £24.80.

therefore I have to make up £76 (which doesn't sound as bad)!

    Ideas:

    find more things to Ebay
save a bit out of my weekly "spend" money if possible by having as many NSDs as possible
look for money on the street as I'm walking along :rotfl::rotfl:

I've bitten the bullet and used some of my savings to pay off my Abbey credit card - the grand sum of £78 :j:j

I re-jigged things financially now so I don't have to "find" any more money for next month once I get paid. I am sort of starting out with a clean slate now. I've done myself a new SOA and made it far more realistic. the last few months I had been squeezing things and attempting to spend less on the grocery bill and less on my "weekly" spend - and it didn't work. I have now been honest with myself as it wasn't working making myself short with money during the month - I was over-spending anyway. So I've now calculated a realistic amount (hopefully). So for the month of July things should go quite well.

Things to watch out for in July:

DH and I are going away for one night only :j Doing this while DS is away at a camp. I have paid the deposit of £100 and just have £59 to find. This includes bed, breakfast and evening meal.

I've got a few days off work - so try not to go mad spending on those days - hoping to save a bit of money on petrol.

I'll add to the list as things crop up.

Feeling really positive about MSE-ing for the first time in months.

    Monday

Well I gained a pound this week so not very happy! Although I've only myself to blame. Try again to do better this week.

Went out for Dad's day yesterday and had a nice meal - even better as I knew it was coming up and had planned for it money-wise.

Sold a couple of books on Ebay - so made about £4 which is better than nothing!

Looking forward to Friday which is pay day!

    Friday

DH got paid today (I have to wait till Tuesday). However it all goes into the one pot so doesn't matter. Today I paid £150 off the two remaining CCs which was the minimum on one and double the minimum on the other.

Tomorrow I will put £60 into my "Family Allowance" current account.

We have booked a week's holiday in Wales in August and I want to use the Family Allowance account to pay for our spending. The holiday is fairly cheap (although could have used it to pay towards one of the CCs). We are hiring a cottage for the three of us. Hoping to have cooked breakfasts every day, picnic lunch and eat out in the evenings (but as cheaply as possible). To my mind having to cook every evening we might as well have stayed at home. We have got some nice walking planned so I hope to be able to get fit and lose a few lbs. Can't wait to go.

Have not really stuck to the diet this week at all but will weigh on Sunday and see what happens.

Off to do my big monthly shop tonight. This month will save all the receipts so I know exactly how much I am spending on food/groceries/cleaning stuff etc. - am aiming for around £200.
