Saturday
Not so good DFW today - spent £30 in M&S on food.  That is for this weekend, next weekend a couple of bits for the freezer and some bits of DS' lunch - not good though as it certainly wasn't planned and wasn't on my shoping list or meal planning list:mad:
However, on the DFW front I have discovered free magazines, picked one up from Tesco and three from M&S.
Went to the post office and posted off the three Ebay items and the mobiles to the Fonebank address.
Back to my DFWing now I'm home. There is bread dough whirring around in the breadmaker, the washing machine is also whirring away! I have just listed 8 more items on Ebay. Have got some more computering style bits to go on but need DH to double check and make sure they are ready to sell and don't still have any personal stuff on them.:DDebt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Sunday
Listed 4 more items on Ebay - out of the 12 on there two have bids.:j
Went to the cinema to see Inkheart - really enjoyed the film. They do a special offer at our cinema on Sunday lunchtimes it is £2.50 per person and that includes, ticket, popcorn and drink:j Bargain! I made sandwiches and took them for DS and DH (I had a banana as I'm dieting:D ).
Tonight as its Burns Night we are having Haggis, neeps and tatties. I bought a load of haggis' or haggi when we were in Scotland over christmas and they are in the freezer. We love haggis!
I've done the sandwiches for tomorrow's lunch and now I just need to get my clothes out for the week. I like to pair my clothes up skirts and tops/trousers and put them on hangers ready in the wardrobe so I don't have a panic in the mornings!:rolleyes:Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
My Mrs P that IS organised.
Each morning I choose a pair of jeans and a top to go with the weather (T-shirt + jumper at the mo). And when I'm at home it's the same, but instead of trainer- slippers. I'd forgotten proper office life. :rotfl:0 -
Olive - I'm one of those people who would get up 10 mins before being due out of the door - however, because of DS I get up 50 mins before, to get him up, and make sure he has his breakfast and all his school stuff.:D
That's why I get everything ready Sunday night:rolleyes:
Lost 1lb this week which brings total to half a stone - am pleased as am now a quarter of the way to my target. However, its getting harder to stay motivated.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Mrs P you sound really organised. I ended up having a lie in this morning as I stayed up watching an economics programme on tv until 1.20am:eek: I have been out to post some letters then I walked up the hill to the shops, had a good wander around the shops and lugged two bags of stuff home with me. I blame Clio for some of my purchases (he posts on the Notice to Newbies thread) because he tipped me off that Sainsbury were selling their taste the difference cakes for 99p - he specifically mentioned lemon drizzle cake but they had sold out but then my beady eyes alighted on coffee and walnut cake so I bought two - one to eat and the other is in the freezer:rolleyes:
I need to be up early tomorrow and out at 8am because I am off to the eye hospital to see the dispensing optician - I need to get two buses as it works out cheaper than driving there and parking. It costs £7 to park but an all daysaver ticket costs £3.30 so no contest.
I am losing motivation - during my week away I managed to lose 12lbs but I have put 4lbs back on but I think that's because I sit down a lot and my hol was spent on my feet all day.:rolleyes:0 -
Hello Horace - I'm glad I don't read Clio's tips or I would have done the same as you. Funnily enough I did think of you on Saturday in Tescos - their choclate teacakes were reduced - but I resisted.:D
It is difficult to keep the motivation going. I don't do any exercise either - I need to try and do a little bit every day, but its proving extremely difficult:rolleyes:
Hope all goes well at the eye hospital. What will you do about food when you are out? Try and take something with you so you aren't tempted by the hospital caneen, league of friends' cakes, vending machines etc.:eek:Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -

because it wasn't going to be a NSD for me I wandered out of the office to the vending machine and when I came back I settled down to read your diary while scoffing a Snickers bar. Now I'm so ashamed

The eye hospital trip isnt too bad - I am only going to see their dispensing optician because I need some distance glasses, I had some reading glasses just after Christmas and he told me to see how I got on with them before having my distance prescription filled. I am hoping that I will get more money off these new glasses - I normally get a voucher worth £54 towards my specs (I have a very strong and very complicated prescription) so I am hoping that they let me have another voucher and once again I shall make sure that my new specs come within budget. I never eat at the hospital because they are too pricey and the staff are usually miserable saying "we don't do this and we don't do that, please don't spill this bla bla bla".:rolleyes:0 -
Monday
Just finished my dinner - cottage pie one of my favourites!
Checked my Ebay listings and bids on four items now.:j
However, I did buy a knitting pattern off Ebay earlier;) But that comes out of my personal spending money - I have to have a little treat now and again. I never buy my wool full price, I always look out for bargains in the shops and Ebay.:jDebt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Wednesday
(where did Tuesday go)?
Two of my Ebay items sold - siggy updated. DH got paid today so there's money in the bank:j
Did my monthly shopping list and meal planning ready for the big shop on Saturday.
Got quarterly water bill it was £60 - almost halved by the fact that I am now only having one bath per week:eek: Its my only luxury. I do shower the rest of the time:rotfl:
Have to sort out direct debit for the water bill - usually pay quarterly.
Sorting out a few more bits to put up on Ebay.Debt free and Keeping on Track0
