Anyone know where you can get fitted sheets for a 4 foot wide bed. Tried the usual shops and no joy.

I have no idea, I'm planning on using double sheets with sheet suspenders. Can I just ask where you got your bed/mattress? I'm having a 4' cast iron bed repainted atm and will need to buy a mattress for it.The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0

I have a 4ft bed in the spare room for when my 18 month Grand daughter stays. My 2 year old bunks in with his Daddy and she sleeps in with me
I find ordinary double fitted sheets and valances are fine as long as the far side of the bed isn't in full view from the door. ie pull any excess to the far side so it looks ok from one side but not on close inspection from the other lol
After all what the eye doesn't see and all that.......
also double quilts are fine for a small double as they hang further over the sides.......no draughtsHow does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?0 -
Starplan will make you a mattress to fit your 4' bed. We have been buying Vono ( Starplan ) beds and mattresses for all our family for over 10 years now and wouldnt buy anything else. Hope this helps Sleepymy.0

Ikea have 140cm fitted sheets http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90050236 they're a wee bit bigger but might do if you're stuck. The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -

try www.homelinens.co.uk or www.andyslinens.com i think they are the same business. have used them before - good service if a bit on the pricey side.0

John Lewis sell them, but only in store [not online]. Textiles Direct have a full range of colours at £6.99 and you can collect from store for free: quality not as good as JL obviously, but adequate.0
