Ah well, who wants to go to a wedding and stay in a 5 star hotel in Italy, anyway!
And rice goes perfectly well with lambchops and gravy - no need to go shopping just yet!!! Come on, we will make an old styler of you yetSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Riceballs? I'm thinking of a chop sitting on a bed of rice, and it *does* look a bit odd, in my head anyway.... but they eat lamb in Turkey, and they don't do tatties like we do... you can do it! NSD!!! NSD!!!
Okay, I'll sit down now.....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
A couple of mushrooms, some chopped onion and a glass of wine, and you have all the ingredients for a 'risotto ai funghi'.
A perfect accompaniment to a lamb chop - in any language.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

You'd pay a fortune for that in some of the restaurants around here!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I will give the mushrooms a miss.
Anyway I have loads of stuff to eat including a ton of pasta. Maybe I will crack open one of my tins of soup:D I am of a mind to have beans on toast topped with cheese for lunch or I could have one of my cheap lidl pizzas (they need more cheese on top).
I'd rather not spend money on a 3-day trip to Italy for a wedding. Anyway I am likely to be busy with clients and I wouldn't want to let them down. My mate is welcome to her old man (I have always thought it rather pervy that she chooses to go out with blokes old enough to be her dad - she was the same when we were 18:eek: ). Now I love my dad dearly but I wouldn't dream of going out with a chap as old as him.
I think I will have another NSD today.0 -
Not an NSD for me - I bought a permanent marker for £1.25 (essential) but no food, newspaper or anything else bought today.
Made a special effort to visit a potential supplier today, came away with a wodge of leaflets and business cards. Now I know where to buy balloons, hire bouncy castles, hot tubs, fancy dress etc etc:j0 -

Its ticking along Numpty, whilst typing this I am trying to compose some words for my website (when I get it) as well as formulating my next two assignments. Don't know how my brain copes with it all - I am just glad that I can multi task:D0

Well, I visited the Chamber today and had my meeting - my business plan is going to be signed off:j I now have 3 more meetings before I start test trading:eek:
I have a ton to do but haven't felt motivated at all this week - feel a tad under the weather. This morning I got up and had a massive dizzy spell which resulted in my almost fainting, I have been fealing queezy and strange all morning despite taking various meds.
Instead of walking from the bus stop all the way to the chamber (about a mile), I walked part way and jumped on another bus (thank you daysaver). My legs were stiff and full of cramp. I had a drink when I got to the chamber (something I don't normally do) and on the way back to get the bus, I stopped off and bought myself a bacon sarnie - cost £1.80:eek: I feel guilty about it but if I didnt eat it then I would probably be left stuck in town feeling ill.
Mr Postie came whilst I was out and now I have to collect a huge parcel from the post office - it will have to wait until next Tuesday now because I hope to go to the beach for a long weekend.
Really must start getting my head around the stuff I have to do though.0 -
Just read through this thread Horace and good on you. As you know things have gone t*ts up for me but would that stop me from trying again when I get myself sorted out - hell no.
If you need any advice let me know, I have made every mistake you can (and a few I didnt even think possible) and had circumstance add its boot in so make sure you cover every eventuality .........
On the website front try to use someone local or that you know as I employed someone through a reputable coding website and the site was 2 months late and looked pretty but didnt blooming work. Also if its catering (which I am getting from your posts) is there any way you can cater a small event for a local business in return for their work on website / printing /advertising etc ???? Gives you more practice of a 'real' customer and even a possible testimonial, recommendationsReal Men Do Cry - Even This Scotsman
