    Hi Karmacat

I don't have time to set up my own website although I can do the words and stick them onto disk for someone else to do. I have a domain name and email address - I just need some hosting and the pages. Will be chatting to an ex colleague next week as he has set up his own computer business so I will see what he can do for me. I set up a site once but can't remember how to do it.

All I need is a web presence and some business cards.

My keywords are: weddings, bespoke, civil partnerships, planning, gay weddings and I am sure I will think of more.

Its good fun, hardwork and I refuse to be deterred by negative people - thing is if they push me too hard with their negativity they will find themselves out on their ear and out of my life:D I will take constructive criticism but not lecturing about how I won't succeed. Wonder what the doubting thomases will say when I am successful and have a new car, new house and new life?

Sorry for grumbling - well best dash need to get ready as am off to visit parents this afternoon (I dread going because of the negativity I receive from my mother in particular and she wonders why I never tell her anything:rolleyes: ).

Numpty, I have tried the techie board already and someone was keen to offer me hosting at £200 plus VAT along with a domain for 12 months:eek: Felt a bit quakey because I know that I can do better than that even if I did it myself.

As for car Numpty - well when I am a multi millionaire I wont like spending so perhaps I will invest in a bicycle for you:rotfl: Or better still I will get you a rickshaw:rotfl:

Hope the visit isn't too bad... keep the positivity of this place in mind! Those keywords sound good - thinking of strumpet's post yesterday on the start of his diary, what about pink pound? I also put in the names of my partner and me - that can help when you get a word of mouth referral by someone who can't remember your website name. Just covering all the bases!

The Techie Board on here is a good idea. I updated my website early last year with Dreamweaver, but I had no instructions with it as it was, shall we say, a complimentary copy? Someone on there, a real newbie but obviously a real expert, gave me blow by blow instructions on how to upload pages, they were lovely.

good for you. Think of the doubters as just being jealous that you're trying something they can't do either through lack of ability, resolve or simple guts.

Trip to parents wasnt too bad. Received all the family gossip agreed with my mum on certain actions of other members of the family(hope I am not turning into her:eek: ). Bribed her with a gardening voucher that I got from surveys. Came away with 2 old magazines - a large handful of runner beans that she picked from the garden for me, a bag of tomatoes picked out of the greenhouse and two small apple pies (she makes them for my dad) made with apples from her garden:j

Dad spent most of his time watching the Olympics (he is deaf so listens with headphones).

Mum suggested that I buy a new car - one where the road tax is £35 (she was looking at Chevrolets) - then my dad pricked his ears up and looked at the article as well - maybe he's in line for a change too.

No mention was made of me setting up my own business and I shall keep it that way (I have more secrets than MI6 and MI5 put together:rotfl: ).

I have already had a flick through one of the magazines my mum gave me - its full of handy hotels that are useful for weddings:D

Well despite oversleeping this morning - I switched off the alarm and went back to sleep:mad: I have got a few things done.

I walked a mile to the postoffice to buy a stamp and to post a letter, then I walked home again (stopping off to buy a packet of biscuits:rolleyes: )

I liisted my crisps on freecycle and will be glad to be rid of them. Must go shopping later as I have run out of essentials - unless I just eat green beans and meat tonight.

I am waiting for a potential supplier to open and then I will be back out to walk yet another mile to have a chat and maybe get a price list.

Today is a wading through treacle kind of day - not helped by stupid text messages from OH saying I will ring you later then giving a feeble excuse about sorting something out and staying in the pub to play pool:mad: Tough that I may need some support or at least a sounding board - I am glad he has got his priorities right Beer and Pool come before me, now I know where I stand:mad:

Today, I have been putting the world to rights with my mates - one of whom is particularly unwell at the moment. Another has saved me £1000 - I was going to her wedding in Italy next year and as she has taken exception to my choice of partner and has now withdrawn his invitation, I see no reason why I should attend. I have known her since I was 13 and have never had a bad word to say about her partner - although I could say loads like he's old enough to be your dad and he played away with his wife with you so what's to stop him doing it again? I have kept my thoughts to myself. Now I have made the decision not to attend the wedding at all thus saving me £1000 - well, she insisted on getting married in a place where there are only 5 star hotels - I don't see why I should pay that amount for a hotel room only with no food whatsoever and paying extra for flights and transport from the airport to the wedding venue.

Must go shopping tomorrow as I have run out of a few essentials - I have rice but rice doesn't go very well with gravy and lamb chops:rotfl:

Keep thinking about the business and ways to save money - so guess I will take a leaf out of my dear old mum's book and haggle for everything (she never pays full price for anything:j ).

Sorry for the gripes, I shall try and get a grip on myself - onwards and upwards as they say.
