Do you think I've won?!

I entered the Elle/Nina Ricci modern fantasy competition ages ago and the closing date was yesterday however, I got an email a couple of weeks ago saying:

Dear ELLE reader

Thank you for entering our Nina fantasy competition! There was a huge response and it was very enlightening to read through all of your fantasies.
I am pleased to say that your entry is one of the ELLE team’s favourites and is currently in the top 5......

In order to proceed further at this stage we do need a little more information and I’d be grateful if you could please email me back with answers to a few questions by Tuesday 29th July.

[FONT=Verdana, Helvetica, Arial]I e-mailed back and heard no more so contacted them again today to ask if I'd won, I got a reply to say I hadn't. There were 20 runner up prizes though so I replied to ask if I'd won one of those and have had no response [/FONT]

Well if you haven't won a runner up prize then that's really pants! That would mean four of the people who were better than the runners up get nothing.

Here's hoping you get something and its something good!

I've been on the website and it seems they haven't actually announced the winners and runners up yet. I'd say you were in with a chance of a runner up prize. I do get the impression that they choose/chose a favourite five each week.

The winning entry, chosen by Nina, will be published in the magazine and the ELLE fashion team will interpret the fantasy in a fabulous photoshoot, which the winner will attend.
All confessions will be posted here and a selection of the best entries will be published in the magazine over the coming months.

20 runners-up will receive a luxurious set of Nina fragrance and bodycare products. Also, the first 200 readers to email in their romantic confessions will each receive a special miniature 4ml EDT of Nina fragrance.
Your modern-day fairytale should be no more than 250 words. The closing date for entries is 5 August 2008.

I didn't even notice there was a top 5! I guess I never made it though as the only email I got was to tell me I would be getting a 4ml sample of the perfume for submitting a fantasy. Not had it yet though. Hope it is nice when it comes!
