I thought the same. Bankrupcy surely has to be an option worth looking into. Think about how many years it'll take to get yourself sorted?? You could rid yourself of these debts in the next 12-14 months. As your both earning good salaries, it's likely you'll get an IVA. Something worth looking at, seriously.Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat.

someone else on this board (broken wings) also has what i would consider to be very high debts, however she is in a high earning job and has been able to make some considerable cutbacks and her debt free date is now April 2009, only a few months after mine. Surely it is all about the proportion of debt relative to your incomings?Debt Oct 2005: £32,692.94
Current debt: £14,000.00
Debt free date: June 20080 -

True, but a cancelled ex-sub card DOES turn into a freesat card. Different to no card. If you have a sub card then cancel, leave it in the box, no need to pay £20. (soz to hijack thread!)0 -

tondella,
yep thats me and i totally agree with what you stated. £2000 debt can hurt some people as much as £50000 hurts others
it all depends on your personal circumstances AND IMPORTANTLY how much change you are willing to make, how much youre willing to give up to pay it off.0 -
