Tree Work - Any recommendations?

Hi

I want to get 20 conifer trees cut down and stumps removed.

I got a quote from a guy out of yellow pages for £300 stumps removed and everything taken away

I also got a quote from someone just coming round the doors for £180 but he was only going to take it down to the ground, drill a hole in it and pour stuff in to get rid of the roots.

Can anyone recommend? or tell me of anyone to avoid please

these guys are the only tree company I know of, I don't know what the cost would be, but might be a ball park to base costs on?

Temple tree service on the Templepatrick Rd.
We used them a couple of times, always well priced jobs.
I think the guy is called Mark, There details are in yell..

Might be spelling it incorrectly, but Pellipont Tree people or services or something are really good. I don't think they're the cheapest, but they know what they're doing.

You must check with the Planning Department that the trees do not have a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) on them. There are heavy fines if you cut classified trees down.

Unless they're massive conifers and you desperately need the roots removed immediately, I would save a few bob and get the local handyman with a trailer to cuts the stumps and rott the roots
