I found this today. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/CandyWA/PopBottleButterfly.jpg
I thought it would be lovely idea to attach them to craft wire or a part of a coat hanger and have them decorate the hamper like a pick type thing poking from the baskets. They could double as plant pokes too. Or you could add one of those little magnets and they could be used as fridge magnets.
Just an idea, hope it helps someone.

I was given something similar, but they were made on some sort of film and you use them on windows. they stick on the same way road tax tax do.
I've got several flights of butterflies across the bedroom windows and mirrors. I really like them. Also have some other feather butterflies attached to things by magnets or clear plastic suckers. have seen some fridge magnets that look like dragonflies0 -

Would it be tough enough to perhaps make fairy wings etc for children's fancy dress (using large bottles of course!)

They look fantastic, although I remember years ago cutting up large bottles to re-use in the garden and I found them hard to cut. Perhaps you need a thinner one for these?0
