Have been trying to ascertain why M&S share price dived by 12p on Friday. Only thing I can find is announcement about "blocklisting" but I haven't got a clue what this means. Have tried Google but still can't see anything. Does anyone know what this is?

NSI 19th Ed Ind linked maturity..stick or sell?

The new rate from then on will be 0.25% plus index linking. The new rules are that there is a penalty for premature cash in. Clearly now that HM gov has fuelled the…

Could you make 1% profit a week share dealing?
Random I know, to settle an arguement in work do you think its possible to make a clear 1% profit a week share dealing? Say you had £20,000, and either invested in 1 or 2 rising FTSE 250/350 shares, then safely got out again once they'd risen 1.5% (or more). Then repeat the process? Could focus on 3 or 4 shares and get to…

Zopa etc
Has anybody used Zopa or Funding Circle (lend to people/companies at a higher rate than what you can get from a bank, but have the downside of a debt going bad and not getting your money back)? My NS&I index-linked matures this October and I'm not sure if I'll roll it over - add to that, savings rates are poor right now...…

The End Of Britain?
This is the title of a sales pitch for Moneyweek Magazine. But it makes interesting reading. It predicts financial armageddon, they says its magazine tells you how to avoid it. One of the interesting things (quote) We are not simply talking about shares falling or house prices dropping, which is devastating enough. We are…

Do they Credit Check for an ISA/Savings Account?
Quick (and possibly daft) question. If you go to set up an ISA or other Savings Account, do they do a credit check? If so, could a bad Credit Rating prevent you from setting up said ISA/Savings Account, or limit access to the higher interest ones?
