Monthly Investment into ITs - Cheapest Platform?
I'm currently invested in a stocks and shares ISA with HL which will be maxed out (with some going into a cash ISA ) but am now looking at expanding my portfolio by drip feeding additional monthly amounts into some investment trusts. This will need to be done outside of the ISA wrapper and HL appear to be charging £11.95…

Nottingham 5.01% Cash ISA
Has anyone tried to open a Nottingham Building Society 5.01% Cash ISA without going into a branch? I am a member of the Nottingham, but live about 100 miles away, so going to a branch is inconvenient. The interest rate is very appealing though. I wrote to them recently, but I've had no reply. Anyone been successful opening…

Tesco Fixed Rate Saver
Hi, Just tried opening a Tesco one year fixed rate saver at 3.5%. Went through the whole process online, chose the pay by debit card option, and at the last step got a message that they would have to call me to complete the application. This is somewhat annoying, because I moved a significant sum from my savings account to…

Bonus rates confusion
Hi all I'm a bit confused about the bonus saving rates being offered at the moment. When an account is being advertised as 2.8% gross with a 12 month fixed bonus of 2.7% so I need to add the two together to calculate the true rate i.e. the account pays 5.5% in the first year then 2.8% afterwards? Also, does anyone have a…

Getting Fund Data Into Excel as a Datasource

In case anybody else holds the above fund, you need to sell it, before then end of this month, otherwise it will be sold for you, because they are closing it.
