Running the MSE morg comparison price isn’t the same as my lender
Currently on SVR and I ran the MSE comparison for my lender. Found the same fixed deal, same percentage, no fees etc but the MSE is about £40 more than running it direct online through my lender. Other deals not my lender, again are much cheaper, eg first direct. The comparison only allows whole numbers, whereas my morg is…

Variable income (overtime and bonus) no longer acceptable?
Some lenders (possibly all) such as HSBC and Nationwide no longer seem to be accepting bonus or overtime as income on mortgage applications. Does anyone know if this policy is likely to end anytime soon? HSBC say "Variable Income will not be acceptable during the CV19 pandemic" so does that mean until there is a vaccine?…

Some Mortgage Questions
I'm looking at the 5% help to buy scheme and I have a few questions about the costs associated with the whole mortgage process. 1) When applying for the 75% mortgage, how is the 20% equity loan taken into account when paying it back? For example, if I get a £150k mortgage on a £200k house and a mortgage calculator says my…
