Is a Verbal Apology Enough
Hi All, I posted this within the bank section but as it's mortgage related it maybe more appropriate here. I had a data protection breach last year with a bank but this is a little more complex and I was hoping for some help. I setup and new mortgage with my bank in 2016 and I asked the mortgage advisor if all…

My fixed rate mortgage ends in July 2018 and I will have around £15000 left. However at the end if the fixed rate I revert back to the standard rate of over 4% with no 12 month only deals available. Is there a better way to clear the remaining £15000 in 12 months avoiding the 4%

BTL indexed valuation
I'm currently at 45% LTV with a BLT, I was thinking of remortgaging to 75% and using the extra funds to buy another BTL, again at 75% LTV, both I/O. To reduce the risk of a price drop or change in salary I thought I'd be able to product switch, I know they don't do another credit assessment but they do a index linked…

Are these costs from London & Country realistic or more/less than usual?
I've just received a DIP from London & Country and they also included a conveyancing quotation with this information. I'm just wondering if these look like reasonable costs as I don't want to go with them if I'm going to end up paying over the odds. Also, what costs might I incur in addition to the things listed here…

Could you afford your mortgage under a Corbyn government?
I'm currently midway through a 5 year fixed rate mortgage and with the possibility of Corbyn rising to power I'm thinking about what could happen.
