Advice for FTB Please
Hi We're hoping to buy a house worth 150k - we've got about 18k for a deposit (plus 4k for survey, fees etc...). We are trying to decide whether to get a 3 yr fix at 5.49 with the plan of overpaying so at the end of the 3 yr term we could remortgage for 20% deposit or a 5 yr fix which is at 5.99 which again would let us…

The One Account - reducing facility irritation
I'm rather irritated by the One Account today. I've had it for 5 years & put up with the interest rates not decreasing as much !!! expected etc (as covered in other topics here) (there wasn't much I could do, as the LTV ratio was too high to switch to other providers who had all reduced their ratios). Anyway, when I got…

I have 16 years to run on my two mortgages: 1. £30,000 at 1.49% 2. £7,700 at 4.99% I am no longer tied into a deal and tend to favour 'fixed' deals so I can budget ahead. I am overpaying on both loans (£25 on no.1 and £130 on no. 2). Is it worth my changing mortgage provider to get a fixed deal or continue with Santender…
