If bad credit supposedly drops off your credit report in 6 years does than mean by that time my credit rating would be back to normal? Would I then have the same chance of being accepted for a mortgage as someone who has never gotten into debt?

Why don't banks let you pay of negative equity?
If you sell a house and it makes for less than what mortgage is, why does the bank not let you pay off the negative equity over a period of time (like a loan). I know they may arrange this for a small neg equity amount but why not on a larger amount like 40 grand. If the mortgage holder had a good payment record and some…

BTL morgage question
What kind of deposit is needed for a BTL morgage? I think it it is higher than a standard owner occupied morgage. I know things like this change quite a lot, but it's something we'd like to aim for in the next couple of years, so knowing if we're aiming for 15%, 25% etc would help focus this goal.
