Please can anyone suggest a good fixed mortgage that allows generous overpayments each month (£600+). I have seen the nationwide 4.18% for a 2 year fix but wondered if there was anything else out there better. Any suggestions welcome.

Can I pay my Mortgage using my Credit Card
Have been wondering if Mortgage lenders allow this. I pay my Mortgage every month and also have a Tesco Credit Card which I pay for all other purchases. I pay both religiously in full every month and on time, so I wouldnt incur any additional interest. If anything I would earn interest from the money sitting in my bank…

Best way to improve LTV
My partner and I are on a fix rate with Nationwide that finishes in April. I reckon our LTV is just under 80%. As we won’t be able to get a decent fixed rate as our LTV is too high we’ll go onto Nationwide’s STV which will shortly be 2.5%. We already make regular overpayments of around £200 per month and soon we’ll be…

Nationwide doesn't want to keep me !
We have been with Nationwide for 12 years, our latest deal started 2 years ago when we took a 10 year fixed rate @ 5.34%. There is an early redemption charge of approx £7000. I am looking into remortgaging to a new deal, paying the early redemption fee where I can claw this back in 2 years or less with a lower rate (eg.…

Should I complain about my IFA
Hi, I bought a flat at the end of October, I was recommended to take out a fixed rate deal by an IFA as he said interest rates look likely to rise. On the documentation it clearly says "we have recommended you take out this mortgage with the given terms". (they received commission aswell) Now rates have plummented I am…

Mortgage Overpayments
Hello all, I've got two mortgages, one on a flat which I rent out, and one on a house which is the marital home. Since interests have tumbled, we have gone from just breaking even on the flat to making a clear £300 a month profit. I am contemplating reinvesting this money as mortgage overpayments, however I was wondering…

Nationwide 5 yr fix Now or Wait?
I was geared up to take NW's 5 year fix at 4.88 then it went to 4.68 now back up to 4.98. They are sugessting going on to 3yr tracker at 3.08% and that I can switch to the 5 yr fix at anytime (for a fee). Basicly if I go on the tracker for 6mths I cover the extra fee. I would only do this if there is a good chance of the 5…

We have a current mortgage with Northern Rock, 379K outstanding. Our fix has expired and we are currently on their SVR (4.79% at the moment, no news on whether they will drop their rate…

mortgage interest rate low pay some off
Just wondering as the interest rate is so low is it a good idea to pay some off? I'm not quite sure how it works. If the rate on the mortgage is say 3% (it's nationwide repayment) would I be better to pay some off now to save money if interest rates rise? ie save future interest rates on that amount? any notions please?
