Where (and if) to sell endowment?
I'm almost sure that the best (or maybe "least bad" would be a better way of putting it) course of action is for me to get rid of my absymal endowment policy. It wasn't mis-sold. I clearly remember the advisor saying that it might not cover the mortgage (and saying that they had to tell me that). The first question…

Which rate to take?
On a homemover rate from Halifax at 85% LTV I can either go for 5.89% fixed for 3 years or 5.81% fixed for 5 years, both with a £995 fee, not sure which to go for as if rates are still low in 3 years and am stuck on nearly 6% wouldn't be great, but then it could go the other way. Which would you go for?

loan or Mortgage?
My wife and I currently live in a 3 bedroom house which has been valued at £160k, we are in a lucky position to be both mortgage and debt free. We are proposing to sell our house and buy a four bedroom house for an estimated 200k. This would mean we would be looking at borrowing 40k for a period no longer than 10 years. We…

Nationwide - When can you make a mortgage payment?
Possibly a stupid question, but my Nationwide mortgage payment is taken by direct debit at the end of the month (think that I must have been asked when I would like to pay when I took it out). Would moving it to the beginning of the month save any interest (as clearly the space between payments would be the same and…
