Repaying some of the balance
Hi. We currently have a mortgage of around £42000. It was endowment linked to 2 policies. One failed and the other matured a few weeks ago. We would like to repay nearly £19000 and remortgage the balance as a repayment mortgage over around 14/15 years. Any thoughts or comments?

Nationwide "Collar" Clause
Is anyone else going to be hit with Nationwide's stupid "collar" clause as mentioned on Sky News? Essentially, if the rate drops any further than current then we are going to see absolutely NO benefit whatsoever! Cheating bar stewards, I bet they dont have a upper limit!

When are HBoS and Lloyds mortgage deals merging?
I take it at some point in the future HBoS and Lloyds will offer the same mortgage deals. Any idea of when this is likely to happen? There are a few deals available for Lloyds customers only which look quite appealing and I'm wondering if it is worth factoring this in to help me decide when to come off Halifax's SVR.
