I've been trying to work out when to remortgage and realised I really don't have a head for this. I don't expect anyone will want to get bogged down in calculations relating to my mortgage but perhaps someone can point out how I can compare projections, what calculations I should do and what parts of the equation I may…
Lump Sum Overpayment
Hi, does anyone know of a calculator that allows for lump sum overpayments, not regular ones? I would like to know for instance, what overpaying a lump sum of $90,000 would do to my term, overall interest payments and monthly repayment figure but can't find one. Thanks in advance.

When overpaying, do you still save?
Hello, I've really 'enjoyed' overpaying in the sense that it saves so much in the long run and we try to pay off as much as possible. We still have a big mortgage and a long way to go and have a few grand saved up. I'm wondering if I should change my ways and have a set amount to overpay every month and putting the…
