Are better rate ISAs likely to come out in the next few months?
Have been looking at ISA rates - as it is now the start of the new tax year, is it the case that all the available ISAs are currently being advertised and nothing much is likely to change until next April, or is it likely that banks could open up new ISAs with different (and hopefully good!) rates? Thanks

Withdrew money from my HTB, where do I now stand?
I opened my HTB ISA at the end of last April and have been putting in the £200 each month + the lump sum at the start. As I'm in the process of buying a place, which is not eligible for the bonus, I made a final payment on April 1st and then waited until the interest was paid on the anniversary of opening the account which…

Lifetime ISAs and Benefits
I wonder if anyone is able to point me to this information. Let's say I have £10000 in my Lifetime ISA in two years time. I lose my job and I apply for JSA. I know that ISAs affect my benefits, but will the Lifetime ISA do the same? What worries me is being told to that I have money in the LISA, therefore I get no…

First ISA - Fund Strategy/Opinions
Hi all, First time post, new investor here. Been doing a lot of reading of these forums past couple of weeks so thank you for all the useful content. I will keep it brief. I'm young-ish (late 20's) and the money I have been earning has just been sitting in a low interest savings account. Following a discussion with a…

Paying into HtB ISA/LISA whilst Abroad
Hey folks, I'm hoping to be living and working in Canada next year. I was going to set up a help to buy and lifetime ISA before I go, but does anyone know if there are restrictions on the isa being paid into from abroad? Was hoping I could pay in whilst away and buy a flat/house when I return Cheers, Luke

Anyone had their ISA transfer vanish between two banks?
Hoping this gets resolved, but basically what happened is I set up an ISA account with Lloyds, requested a part transfer from HSBC; but then changed my mind on the Lloyds account (it was an investment one and after research wasn't happy with the funds they use). Lloyds said no problem, cancelled the account and said they…

Stocks and Share ISA Transfer Clarification
I am receiving two different answers to this question and would like some clarity and ideally a link to something that cant be questioned ie an ISA rule book - if one even exists. If I have a stocks and shares isa for 2017/2018 that I have already contributed to in this tax year, lets says £1000, can I transfer it to a new…

Lifetime ISA - Major Banks?
Hi All Do we have any indication if any of the major banks are going to release Cash ISA options for the LISA product? I have held off getting one so far as I wanted to see who would compete for the better ones when the major banks started to release them, and as I have up to March 2017 to transfer my HTB into it i saw no…

Hi Folks, My Dad has a 6 figure sum of money currently invested in a cash ISA. It has now matured and I need to move it somewhere else. I have power of attorney for his financial matters. It is likely that he may at some point in the next few years need nursing care so the money needs to be reasonably accessible. My…

To keep my cash ISA or not?
Hello, I apologise if this question has been asked previously, I have tried looking through the thread already but couldn't find the direct answer, but feel free to comment with a helpful link. Help to Buy Transfer to LISA
If I transfered my savings from a "Help to Buy" Isa into a "Lifetime" Isa in say 2 years time (april 2019) or beyond would I lose any bonus I potentially achieved over the past 2 years in my "Help To Buy" Isa? I live in Scotland and as property rules are different than the rest of the UK can you tell me if I am able to use…

Putting my P2P fundsin into an 'IF' ISA?
Hi all, I have funds invested in several P2P platforms. I have held these for some time now but I pay tax on the earnings. I've been made aware of the new IF ISA. This is great, I can park my funds tax free in it. However, I can only open one IF ISA. How do I put all of my P2P investments into it? Many Thanks in advance…

LISA - worth it?
So far I have read an awful lot of negativity on the LISA so am now in two minds whether to opt for it. Current situation is as follows: - £5k S&S isa - £56k cash savings - £146k mortgage (joint with partner) - employer pension which I contribute in the max (salary sacrifice), as do they @ 8% and 16% respectively. - no…
