How do institutions know which years ISAs are which?
General query - I have a number of ISAs from various previous years that have been moved from time to time. How are they tracked by banks, etc in terms of which year is which? I am thinking particularly of two previous years ISAs which are now in Northern Rock as a combined amount. On a similar point how do people on here…

Fixed Rate ISA Questions...
I've had variable rate cash ISAs for several years, but have never had a fixed rate one before. Are they like fixed rate bonds where at the end of the term they write to ask you what you want to happen? eg. put into another fixed rate ISA, variable rate ISA etc. and if you do nothing it's automatically put into a variable…

ISA / savings advice required!
I've got a cash isa that I started in 2010. In this financial year (starting April 2011) I've paid in 750, 2000 & then 1190.62 (silly amount I know but it rounded my total in the isa up to a nice round number!). I've just transferred in the remaining 1399.38 of my allowance taking it up to 5340 paid in this financial year.…

Cash ISA - interested paid monthly vs yearly
I’m looking into opening up my first cash ISA and have a question relating to the interest. I’ve noticed that the way interest is paid varies between companies. For example, Nationwide’s online ISA calculates interest daily, but pays it annually on the 31st August. Their 2.75% rate applies until Jan 2013, at which point it…

Regular Saver v ISA
Just need a little help with a hypothetical situation - it's basically what I did last year with the figures tweaked a little to make things a bit simpler: I open an easy access ISA by transferring in a previous years' balance of £10000 at the rate of 3% gross. Around the same time, I also open a couple of regular saver…

NatWest Fixed Rate ISA.s- Nice try!
I see in the Best Mini-Isa thread a post about NatWest with an offer of fixed rate ISAs. Trying their usual trick of having you apply in February, keeping your money in a low rate ISA (0.05-2.00%) until other starts on 4th April. Do they never give up:mad:

Wonder if anyone can help.. I have a stocks and shares isa with BNY Mellon in the Newton Continental European Fund. I tend to just ignore it and leave it be, but I've just read their literature with the statement and it…

Halifax's ISA Direct Reward not being for 12 months?
When i took this out, i thought it was for 12 months. It's the instant access one. IIRC it's the one that was 3% if you didn't have a Halifax current account, but 3.2% if you did have (a current account). I think i opened mine around June & thought it was for 12 months. Just received a letter to say the period is ending &…
