Credit Reports and Correcting Errors
Hello. If there is an erroneous default registered against my Credit Report, in order to have that corrected, do I deal directly with the Credit Reference Agencies to get that done, or do I have to go through the incompetent institution that made the error? Thank you, John

DCAs
The majority of our debts are with various Debt Collection Agencies (Lowell seem to have popped up mostly). For a couple of them I have come to an agreement but it has just occurred to me, do these agencies add interest and charges? Off the top of my head Lowell are holding a Money Shop debt and Littlewoods one. Is it best…

Facing up to reality . . .starting with this. . .
Hi This is not the first time that I have tried, not only to face up to our debt crisis, but to do something about it, but it is the first time that I've taken the step of completing an on line Statement of Affairs and really unpicked our spending (I'm sure there is more hidden spending as I do not feel that we have a…

Loan Debt - Barclays
Hi. In 2008 I took a lone out to complete a course. Sadly the course never put me in a financial position to be able to pay off the debt, and after many defaults it was sold to Apex Credit Management. I contacted Apex this week and they said they no longer have the debt, and it's back with Barclays. After a few phone calls…

Shopper's 'High' replaced...
I think most people will be familiar with that little high that comes when you 'treat' yourself to something new. Then comes the guilt and stress if it's only added to your debt woes. Today, for the first time I realised I get a little repayment 'high'. I never really noticed it before but, today I got paid and made a…

Hi all, First time poster here, please be gentle. When adding unsecured debt on an SOA do you add the loan value without interest or with added interest as per my statement? I'm not in any kind of crisis but would like my home improvement loan & mortgage figure's down considerably. Thanks

Tuesday 31st July - What Small DFW Things Have You Done Today??!!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

So a lot of my items I have until next year to pay them. I've had a look at snow balling, that said to pay very first but I'm…
