Eskimo loans won't answer the phone

I have a 14000 loan with Eskimo, and I recently maxed out my credit cards (6000£). I have organised a consolidation loan to for 20 000, but I cannot get through to Eskimo Loans to get a settlement figure, or indeed to find out how I can pay it off.

I know Eskimo is a division of Northern Rock, and I know they're having troubles. So, what to do? I can't get into a situation where I have to pay off both the consolidation loan AND the Eskimo loan! I've sat on hold for over 4 hours over the last 2 days, which has probably also cost me over a tenner in phonebills already.

I guess if I simply stop the Eskimo Direct Debit in an attempt to get them to contact me instead, I'll land myself in trouble rather than achieving anything?
