My Moneysaving home made 'devil' halloween costume

My dd decided that she wanted to be a devil for halloween this year. Having looked around the shops at costumes I realised I was never going to be able to afford one, so I decided to make my own.
From charity shops:
1 x red pillow case = 50p
1 x large piece of burgundy velvet fabric = 50p (i've loads of this left)
1 x pair of long glittery gloves (1 black, 1 red) = 49p
From local fabric shop:
1/2 metre of fine glittery nylon fabric = £1.50
From Poundstretchers (3 for 2):
1 x Devils Fork = 99p
1 x Flashing Devils Horn = 99p
1 x Spider = 69p (nothing to do with devil costume, daughter just wanted it to scare her friends)!!!
TOTAL COST: £4.97
From my sewing box:
Red ribbon
Red cotton.
She has her school halloween disco on Thursday, so I have finished the outfit tonight. It's all sewn by hand and I had no pattern. When I first started I just had the pieces of fabric, and no idea what I was going to do with them! I just made it up as I went along (tweaking here and there to get it to fit), but it is loosely based on one of her dresses for size. Any seamstresses/dressmakers would be  by a close up look at my awful sewing techniques! But still it should hold together!! LOL!

Last year for the disco she was a 'Mummy'. I bought 4 packs of crepe bandages and loosely stitched them onto cream trousers and a white shirt (that I zombified by hacking away at the sleeves/bottom). She won the fancy dress competition with that outfit.

That looks fab, I made a devil costume for my eldest when we was a toddler i'm glad i kept it because 6 years later its just the right size for his 18 month old brother. I'll have to take some pic's tomorrow. I made it from a red all in one sleepsuit stitched a devils tail onto the back and made some wings with spiderweb silver material from boyes and cardboard, then added some horns i was very pleased with myself, it all cost about £4.50
:AEverytime a bell rings an angel his gets wings0
