Just checked the World Tempus Competition winners and there is a lot of controversy over the winners.

Breakdown is FRANCE: 96 WINNERS (3 OF THEM TWICE)
UK: 9 WINNERS
SWITZERLAND: 7 WINNERS
BELGIUM: 2 WINNERS
ITALY: 1 WINNER

The competition is open to everyone, which is clearly stated in the conditions. The fact that the majority of participants come from France is beyond our control. Maybe if more people from the UK and USA had entered, there would have been more winners from these countries.
Can't see why an organisation like this one would jeopardise their good name by favouring entrants from France.
Plenty of whinging in the comments though. Nothing like making a promoter think twice about running a competition.
Good to see they're doing an advert0 -
It's difficult to tell unless you know the proportion of entrants from each country... Maybe they are much better known as a brand in France (or French-speaking world) and got far more traffic.
The repeat winners might look more dodgy - but if they only got 100 entries for each day (and 95 were from France) it's feasible to have come out that way and they didn't re-draw. Not everybody will have entered every day (I only did if I wanted that prize).
A few years ago, I entered an Advent comp on a stamp dealers blog and won 4 times out of 24! Looks dodgy but clearly because he didn't get as many entries as he thought he would.I need to think of something new here...0 -
They say there were hundreds of thousands of entries, very few of those will have come from mse so to not have a winner is hardly a surprise and the most likely outcome by far.0
