I read this forum a couple of years ago and when I felt my debt was out of control in late 2015 you debt free wannabes came to mind. I decided I wanted to be debt free too so started paying off my debts and moving debts to an interest free Barclay card offer to give myself some wiggle room. I've been very stingy with myself, no holidays just one long weekend away, hardly any new clothes and not splashing the cash doing things with the grandchildren.
I've just been checking the cc accounts and one has £30 and the other £600 outstanding <span class="emoji-outer emoji-sizer"><span class="emoji-inner" style="background: url(chrome-extension://immhpnclomdloikkpcefncmfgjbkojmh/emoji-data/sheet_apple_64.png);background-position:45.833333333333336% 87.5%;background-size:4900%" data-codepoints="1f609"></span></span> It's been tough working full time and being skint but nearly all the debt has gone and this month my mortgage fell below £20,000! It's become a bit addictive and I might even start on the mortgage next lol
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for the inspiration <span class="emoji-outer emoji-sizer"><span class="emoji-inner" style="background: url(chrome-extension://immhpnclomdloikkpcefncmfgjbkojmh/emoji-data/sheet_apple_64.png);background-position:47.91666666666667% 16.666666666666668%;background-size:4900%" data-codepoints="1f618"></span></span>

Well done. Especially as you did it on pension income. You must feel relieved and proud too :TIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
