Have a look at Hotter shoes (they have a website if they don't have a shop near you). Unfortunately, comfort doesn't come cheap - but if you are on your feet all day you'll be glad you spent the extra!

My favorite brand is pikolinos. They are not cheap.
I got it at Christmas sales at Amazon last year.

Clarks, either by post (returns are free) or from a Clarks shoe shop if you have one anywhere near.

I don't mind paying for decent quality shoes, but I never pay full price, always buy in sales.

Churches, Grenson, Loakes etc appear expensive when you are buying them, but when after 5+ years of almost daily wear they are still good as new you know its a good investment.

If these are too pricy Doc Martins are still as good as ever.

I got a pair of [these] for £35 in the last Clarks sale. First pair of work shoes that needed no breaking in and were comfortable straight out of the box. Also 1/2 sizes.

Ahh, the never ending search for comfy shoes :) I don't find Clarks as comfy as they once were :( (Except maybe the Cushion Soft range). For value, Sainsbury's Sole Comfort shoes have proved pretty good, (if you can find them!), as have F&F Sensitive Sole shoes and M&S Footglove. But my sis loves Skechers, and also picked up a brand new pair of Shuropody shoes from the charity shop which she says are the comfiest she's ever had (but she has wide feet). I find low heel shoes comfier than completely flat shoes, as does she. I suppose it's horses for courses really, it really all depends on what you need! HTH

I guess I could buy some nice inner soles to make them comfy.
