Giveaway started: 14 June 2016

What's this about?

We have 50 copies of Who Stole My Spear by Tim Samuels to give away. It's available to buy on https://www.amazon.co.uk/Who-Stole-Spear-Tim-Samuels/dp/1780894996"]Amazon for £11.24.

What to do

To try for a copy just reply to this (click on 'post reply') and say:

"I stole it"

To do this you need to join the Forum. If you haven't already, when you click reply you'll be taken through the process. It's free, of course.

APPEAL: Please ONLY reply to this thread if you will check your private messages next week.

150 names are being picked and there are 50 books up for grabs. This is because sadly not everyone gets in touch, so doing it this way speeds things up. Be sure to get in quickly!

Also, please DON'T email in, as your name won't be counted, nor include your contact details in this thread, as, for your own safety, we don't allow personal details on the public forum. Your post may be deleted if this is the case.

This giveaway appears in the weekly email (if you don't already get the email go to www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips) and will close at 4pm Tuesday 24 June, so please get your posts in before then.

The giveaway has a strict one entry per household policy and entries can be deemed ineligible without any explanation or notification.

About the book and author

"Trapped in bodies barely changed since caveman days, males are now contending with corporate culture, lifelong commitment, rampant depression that’s making men four times as likely to take their own lives, and crazy expectations to be a success at work and home.!Not to mention the boy crisis in schools. It’s time to forget what we regard as ‘normal’ these days; how on earth should men actually be living?

Enter Tim Samuels, an award-winning journalist, film-maker, and host of BBC radio 5 Live’s Men’s Hour, with WHO STOLE MY SPEAR? - a sharply intelligent but also deadly funny look at the life of modern men.

An inspiring rallying call for men and masculinity which cannot be ignored – that will leave you re-thinking much about life’s big questions. And for women who wonder what’s on a man’s mind, this is the book that offers the entertainingly explosive answer."

Tim Samuels is a multi-award-winning BBC documentary-maker, journalist and broadcaster - and the ‘go-to’ man for the national media. He is one of the most distinctive and acclaimed journalists in the business.

Tim has won three Royal Television Society awards, best documentary at the World Television Festival, Race in the Media journalist of the year and been honoured for his TV and radio work by the charity Mind. But nothing compares to being described by the Radio Times as “the most eligible bachelor in town” - @TimDSamuels

How will the people be chosen?

150 people will be picked at random (we've a special little computer programme to do it) and a private message will be sent out to each of the winning users requesting their username (case sensitive), full name and address details (there'll be an email to send this information to as we don't want it done via Private Message).

The FIRST 50 people to get back to us will get a book.

When will I get it?

It will be sent out once all 50 winners have provided their name and address, so it may take several weeks between the giveaway's end and the actual receipt.

    1. This prize draw is run by MoneySavingExpert.com (the “Promoter”) and open to residents of the UK aged 18 years or over, except employees of the MoneySuperMarket.com Group (including MoneySavingExpert.com), or family members of such employees. In order to take part in the prize draw, entrants must have a MoneySavingExpert.com Forum account, which is enabled for posting (those who wish to enter but who do not presently have a MoneySavingExpert.com Forum account can register for one, free of charge, at forums.moneysavingexpert.com/register.php).

    2. Details of how to enter form part of the terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to modify the Promotion at any time without prior notice.

    3. The prize draw will be run on a designated MoneySavingExpert.com Forum thread (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5476222) (the “Designated Thread”). In order to enter, users will need to be registered to the Forum and post on the Designated Thread as per the instructions detailed in the opening post of the Designated Thread.

    4. The prize draw will open at 4pm(UK-time) on Tuesday 14 June 2016, and will end at 4pm (UK-time) on Friday 24 June 2016 (the “Closing Date”).

    5. The prize is a copy of Who Stole my Spear published by Cornerstone/Penguin Random House (the “Prize”). There are 50 Prizes to give away.

    6. All entrants will be placed into a randomiser, of which 150 will be selected and contacted by the Promoter via the MoneySavingExpert.com Forum’s Private Message facility.

    7. Potential winners will be required to respond to the designated email address set out in the Private Message within seven days of being contacted. The first 50 recipients of the Private Message to contact the email address with their name, Forum username and postal address will be the winners and receive the Prize. If incomplete information is submitted, the Promoter reserves the right to award that Prize to an alternative winner in accordance with these terms and conditions (i.e. to the 51st person to email their details to the designated email address.).

    8. Prizes will be dispatched to winners directly from Cornerstone / Penguin Random House UK. By submitting your details to MoneySavingExpert.com via the designated email address you consent to us passing your information onto Cornerstone / Penguin Random House UK to enable them to deliver the Prize to you. Cornerstone / Penguin Random House UK will not use your information for any reason other than to deliver the Prize to you and will delete your information from their databases once the Prize has been delivered to you.

    9. Cornerstone / Penguin Random House UK are responsible for delivering the Prize to you, not the Promoter. They will aim to deliver the Prize to you within one month of the Closing (as defined in our Prize terms and conditions). Please contact the Forum Team at forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com if you have not received the Prize within this time.

    10. A maximum of one Prize is available per household. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold a Prize or Prizes if, in its fair judgement, it appears that the same person or same household has ‘won’ more than one Prize, and/or to require reasonable proof from the winner(s) in question that they are not the same person and/or do not share a household.

    11. Late, incomplete, corrupt entries, or entries sent through agencies and third parties, will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries. The Promoter in particular cannot accept any responsibility for delayed entries due to device or internet connectivity issues.

    12. These prize draw terms and conditions incorporate our Full Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

    13. Promoter: MoneySavingExpert.com Limited, 19-22 Rathbone Place, London, W1T 1HY

T's & C's updated to reflect extended end date (15/06/16)
