Presumably Lakeland displayed their usual outstanding CS and replaced immediately? If not, they certainly will - they have the best customer care around.

Don`t they just , a few weeks ago I filled in a survey and 1 question was asked if anything I wasn't happy with broke and why I didn't get in touch with them .
I told them about a wash basket I bought a couple of yrs ago and the lid had broken , then they rang me up and said they were sending me another one free of charge

A friend of mine has the Air O Matic and thinks it is brilliant. Much cheaper and takes up less space - and apparently very efficient indeed. Buy from Bespoke Offers and it is £19.80 + £4.99 delivery (go via TCB and get 10% cashback).

I bought the large one last time they had a special offer - so much easier getting sheets and duvet covers dried in the winter :)

Plus, as others have said, their customer service is second to none - you know that if a problem does develop (even if it's outside of the guarantee period) they'll replace it with no fuss.
