Lead weights for Sash windows needed.

Hello,

I am looking to buy (1-2 tonnes per month) square lead weights for the sashwindows.

Does anyone know any company that would be interested in selling these for acompetitive price?

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Peter,

    I recently bought something similar from Halfords.

    Just pop into Halfords and ask for their "long Weights" they work a treat

    Won't the health and safety brigade shut you down for using lead these days?

    I wanted 5 - 20 litres of Sulphuric Acid and you maybe surprised to find how hard it is to buy. You can get it on the shelf in Walmart in the US.

    My son repairs Sash windows and they dont use lead weights now.Not sure what they use but its not lead.

    make contact with window companies, the ones I know sell them as scrap, one has a deal with local fisherman, free lobsters for old lead weights to hold down the lobster pots
    Buying quality goods which last, should be an investment that saves money. :T
    Buying cheap products which fail, wastes money and costs twice as much in the long run. :mad:
