First Anniversary First Post I've been Money Tipped!

Looks to be the same across the whole country

"Harbour Fresh" - Cod FishCakes : 2 pack 270g - 64p
"Sondey" Jaffa Cakes : 300g 47p
"Granarom" Instant Coffee Sachets : Latte,Capuccino : 176g 79p
Loose Kiwi : 12p each

Official MoneySavingExpert insert: We contacted Lidl and it confirmed that the half price event will be running this weekend with the above products discounted - though we wouldn't recommend cooking them all together!

I'll max up on the fishcakes - makes a change.

Kiwi fruit - definitely. Jaffa cakes to be avoided as I know I'll be the one scoffing them. 300g I assume = 24 cakes? If so, the bargain factor will make them tough to resist.

If I am near a Lidl I will get the fishcakes, I like that they are cod and not some nondescript "white fish." Will also get the jaffa cakes. The parrot will have got through his stash of kiwi by then so will stock up.

Jaffa cakes are good, much prefer them to the genuine article. I find them less dry and the choc is nicer than Aldi's. I dread to think how many I might buy!!!

I'll stick to Aldi for kiwis - they recently reduced a pack of 6 from 75p to 69p. Lidl's normal price of 24p each or 6 for a quid is worse than Tesco!

    1. The Lidl ones are about double the size of the ones you get in a pack in Tesco.
    2. Because they are sold loose then you can choose the best ones.
    3. Less packaging to have to clog up landfill or your own recycling bin.

Anyone remember when the weekend specials were things like half price steak mince and 50% extra free pork loin chops ?
