Site is currently a bit glitchy but some great deals to be had:
http://www.portmeirion.co.uk/marquee-clearance-sale.html
I have bought from this sale several times and never had anything that is an obvious 'second'.
Items are packed well and should a breakage occur during transit all you need to do is email a photograph of the damage and the details to CS for replacement.
Official MoneySavingExpert insert: The Portmeirion sale will run until Sun 12 Oct and it includes up to 75% off over 200 lines, including Portmeirion and Spode. The sale is online only and delivery costs £4.95.
Thanks to luxor4t for posting.

Thanks for posting this. I have bought from this sale a few times now and have built up a lovely collection.
You have to look very closely to see a flaw, sometimes you cant see one at all

Not Portmerion but the best large mugs that have lasted for years despite my kids and husbands careless washing up technique is Royal Albert 100 centenary. Biggest mugs I have ever had and really stand out.

I bought the coffee mugs earlier in the year and they are a nice big size."Women are made to be loved, not understood - Oscar Wilde .

My order has just arrived - well packed and all safe.
I ordered 6 plates and 6 breakfast mugs, and although they can't guarantee that you will have a range of patterns, each box had 4 different flowers ie 3 identical and 3 different, which pleased me.
Delivery was by DPD Predict and arrived inside the time slot.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

I got some lovely really large almost tankard type mugs from TK Maxx one evening they are Portmeirion. See them sometimes in the TK Maxx stores here in NI. They had large mugs, plates, soup bowls, desert bowls etc on the shelves.
The large mugs are fab, lovely this time of year for a big mug of hot tea0 -
Hi
I bought 6 small plates and 6 large plates for £28. You can hardly see that they are seconds. They arrive with a black marker painted on them though so you just have to wipe this off. I guess this is how they mark the seconds. I ordered from the woodland selection and although they don't guarantee the selection, they were all different and of lovely pics.
I've bought these for my parents for Christmas
Thanks for the tip off - I'm really pleased I bought these
Thanks0 -
Lovely, Lovely, Thank you
Perfect for the in-laws for Xmas.0
